Abstract

A nephroblastoma or Wilms´ tumor is an uncommon tumor in adults. It has a complex genetic basis. There are no well-established guides to treat it due to its infrequency. Its prognosis is worse than in children, influenced by aspects such as an unfavorable histology and the advanced stage when diagnosed. In this article the case of a 20-year -old female is presented with the main objective to comment on some aspects of this rare entity in adults.

Key words: Wilms´ tumor, renal tumor, laparoscopic nephrectomy.
