Angiomiolipoma epiteliode como un raro subtipo de tumor renal

Resumen

El PEComa o angiomiolipoma epiteliode es una neoplasia rara que representan el 0,13 % de los tumores del sistema genitourinario. El objetivo del artículo es presentar un caso de angiomiolipoma epiteliode y realizar una breve revisión del tema. Se trata de una paciente femenina de 70 años que acude por dolor lumbar izquierdo. Los estudios imagenológicos confirmaron una masa tumoral izquierda. Se realizó nefrectomía lumboscópica. Los estudios histopatológicos e inmunohistoquímicos evidenciaron el tumor. Luego de tres años de seguimiento no se ha producido metástasis ni recurrencia. El angiomiolipoma epiteliode se considera una variante de angiomiolipoma con potencial maligno. Los estudios imagenológicos son insuficientes para el diagnóstico. El diagnóstico de certeza solo se obtiene con la inmunohistoquímica.
