Abstract

A brief review was carried out on anatomophysiological aspects of androgen production and the mechanisms highlighted for late hypogonadism to occur. Some causes that can produce it are listed, as well as the clinical presentation. This first version points out that patients with symptoms suggestive of this medical condition, formerly known as andropause, often need to be treated and studied, both in family doctor's offices and in urology services. The aim of this brief communication is to show how the symptoms and causes of late hypogonadism manifest in men.
